guitar transcriptions what i do

I do not have a catalogue of transcriptions. Due to copyright law I cannot make multiple copies of my transcriptions. I am not a publisher. I supply hand crafted, individual transcriptions of material unavailable in published form as an educational service to those who wish to improve their music skills.

Have you ever found a song that you were desperate to play but could not find the songbook or sheet music, or looked at tab sites and not been able to find it, or at least, having found a version, not understood it?

I have pupils armed with tab book versions of whole albums who want to learn one song but can't understand the book.

I will transcribe any individual song, solo, or part of a song in a way you will understand and be able to play.

I have been teaching guitar for 25 years and, as a part of lessons, I transcribe songs requested by my pupils, on the basis that they will practice a tune that they like, not because I have chosen it.

I base the price upon how much time it takes me: £12.50 for half an hour's work; £25 for an hour's work and so on ...
